This luxury 5 star hotel was once known as Taj Exotica but it has recently been renamed to Maradiva Villas Resort & Spa.
The newest hotel of its kind opened its doors in November 2004 in Wolmar,on the West coast of Mauritius. It overlooks the serene blue waters of Tamarin Bay, Mount Tamarin and the famous silhouette of Le Morne Brabant providing a picturesque background.
The villas and suites are grouped harmoniously around the reception building. They draw inspiration from the charming local architecture of the island. The Taj Spa offers Western and signature Indian treatments including Ayurveda. It also offers a hydrotherapy cascade pool with cabana seating, a hammam, yoga and meditation pavilion and a beauty salon. The sports centre provides the latest cardio and gym equipment. The hotel boutique offers fine handmade souvenirs and exclusive accessories as well as international newspapers and island wear.
